NYLON NUTS
Nylon Nuts are also called Nylon Nuts. Nylon Nuts is similar to a Hex Nut with a one major difference, the nylon collar inserted in the end of the nut.
The Nylon Nut has a nylon collar are made with a smaller inner diameter which will provide a better grip to the thread when fastened.
One major setback of the Nylon Nut is that it cannot be reused many times because the nylon collar will deform and unable to provide the required strength to hold the thread.
Different standards have specific torque requirements before the Nylon Nut is reused.
Another setback is that the Nylon Nut is susceptible to extreme heat. The common finish for the Nylon Nut is a zinc or yellow zinc coating.
